The title is MEETING THE METS: A QUIRKY HISTORY OF A QUIRKY TEAM

You can read the the first chapter of the above book on-line.  It is for sale on kindle.  I would snatch it up right away were there a hard copy of it.

It is tailored to the history of the Mets but any true baseball fan will find it to be incredibly informative and highly entertaining.  The first chapter was quite captivating.
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church

  • Gid Hodges of the Brooklyn Dodgers used to go to the daily true Mass.  Most people used to wear tie and jacket to games as late as the sixties.  It is so obvious how badly things have changed in this country and in the world and yet no one seems to care.  The chaos in the world coincides with the chaos in the Church.
