    • Does anyone know anything about the Anticamera Segreta? I believe Card Del Val was a member.. ???

    • I've never hear of it.  I did a google search and came up empty-handed.  Did an italian=english translation which is no help either.

    anti=opposition
    camera=room
    segreta=secret

    That adds up to zilch to me.

    Hopefully someone knowledgeable will post with real information.

    • So it's just an actual room, not some kind of group?  The OP used the word "member" so I assumed it was some type of group.

    AntE camera is a sort of foyer or entry and segreta means secret. 
    What has it to do with Cardinal Del Val and what leads you to ask this strange question?

    • I have a pic cut out from a book i can't remember. It has Pope Leo XIII flanked by Card Del Val on his right( properly-- although there are several persons to his right: one of them seated so I am not exactly sure which  is Card Del Val) & some prelates on his left-- the one on immediate left looks( properly) like della Chiesa.

    Card Rampolla is not in pic

    Pic is described by author as " Pope Leo XIII with prelates of Anticamera Segreta"

    Other side of pic shows St Pius X & Card Rampolla.

    See D' Agostino( Rome In America) for info re: Rothschild as Mayor of Rome when Della Chiesa is allegedly elected pope in 1914. :cheers:

    • Based on link from rum, I’d guess it was a typo and should have read “prelates in anticamera...”
