Let's have the right attitude toward the Jєωs, the Grave and Greatest Possible Sin of Deicide they committed, the responsibility we have to love them, show them the Truth, that they may believe, be baptized, and be saved. Let's not fall into the trap of the modern world to minimize the Crime of Deicide as some do today; no, that Crime and the horror of it has to be stressed, but with love, as St. Maximillian Maria Kolbe showed even at the height of World War II and throughout his life, as also Pope Pius XII, and many others. The Jєωs of today, St. Augustine and St. Jerome so rightly say, so long as they remain at enmity with Christ, are really spiritual descendants of Judas, the perfidious apostate and treasonous betrayer, who represents them. Jєωs, as we know from Scripture, are descended from the ancient Patriarch Judas, who was loved by God, one of the twelve sons of Jacob/Israel. When they enjoyed the favor of God, Judas was a sign of honor; e.g. as we read of Judas Maccabeus. Now, it is rightly held in reprobation and loathing, for it signifies those who hate their benefactors, those who kill those who work miracles for them, thos who hate the Hand that fed and healed them, the same Hand that led them safely out of Egypt in the first place, and who do not wish to repent of these sins.
REPROACHES: "V. O my people, what have I done to thee? or wherein have I afflicted thee? Answer me. V. Because I led thee out of the land of Egypt, thou hast prepared a cross for thy Savior ... V. Because I led thee out through the desert forty years: and fed thee with manna, and brought thee into a land exceeding good, thou hast prepared a Cross for thy Savior ... V. What more ought I have done for thee, that I have not done? I planted thee, indeed, My most beautiful vineyard: and thou hast become exceeding bitter to Me: for in My thirst thou gavest Me vinegar to drink: and with a lance thou hast pierced the side of thy Savior ... V. For thy sake I scourged Egypt with its first-born: and thou hast scourged Me and delivered Me up ... V. I led thee out of Egypt having drowned Pharao in the Red Sea: and thou hast delivered Me to the chief priests ... V. I opened the sea before thee: and thou with a spear hast opened My side ... V. I went before thee in a pillar of cloud: and thou hast led Me to the judgement hall of Pilate ... V. I fed thee with manna in the desert; and thou hast beaten Me with whips and scourges ... V. I gave thee the water of salvation from the rock to drink: and thou hast given Me gall and vinegar ... V. For thy sake I struck the kings of the Chanaanites: and thou hast struck My head with a reed ... V. I gave thee a royal sceptre: and thou hast given to My head a crown of thorns ... V. I exalted thee with great strength: and thou hast hanged Me on the gibbet of the Cross. R. O my people, what have I done to thee? or wherein have I afflicted thee? Answer me.
We adore Thy Cross, O Lord: and we praise and glorify Thy holy Resurrection: for behold by the wood of the Cross joy has come into the whole world. -- (Ps. 66. 2) May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may He cause the light of His countenance to shine upon us, and have mercy on us.
https://acatholiclife.blogspot.com/2016/03/traditional-1962-mass-propers-for-good.htmlFrom a private revelation: " « A voice, a voice comes from high above and shouts in my heart. It says: “The ancient People of God cannot sing the new hymn, because it does not love its Saviour. The new hymn will be sung by those saved in every country, those of the new People of the Christ Lord, not those who hate My Word” ... Your face on the ground, in the mud, o Israel, who still know how to love the Lord. Cover yourself with ashes, wrap yourself in sackcloth. For yourself! For them! Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Save yourself! I can see a town rioting and requesting a Crime. I hear, I can hear the shouts of those who with hatred invoke blood upon themselves. I can see the Victim being raised in the Passover of Blood and I can see that Blood flowing, and I can hear that Blood cry louder than the blood of Abel, while heaven opens and the earth quakes and the sun grows dark. And that Blood does not cry out for vengeance, but it implores mercy on its murderous People and on us! Jerusalem!!! Be converted! That Blood! That Blood! A stream! A stream that washes the world curing all evils, cancelling all sins... But for us, for us of Israel, that Blood is fire, for us it is a chisel that engraves the name of Deicides and the curse of God on the sons of Jacob. Jerusalem! Have mercy on yourself and on us!... He had come to bring you light. And you waged war against Him... Health. And you sneered at Him... Love. And you hated Him... Miracles. And you said He was a demon... His hands cured your sick people. And you pierced them. He brought you the Light. And you spat on His face and covered it with filth. He brought you Life. And you killed Him. Israel, grieve over your fault and do not curse the Lord, while you are going into the exile, that will not come to an end as the exiles of the past. You will roam all over the Earth, Israel,as a defeated cursed people, pursued by the voice of God with the same words spoken to Cain ..."
Pope Pius XI: "Turn Thine eyes of mercy towards the children of that race, once Thy chosen people. Of old, they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Saviour; may It now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life"
http://www.catholictradition.org/Christ/kingship7-2.htmThe Church Fathers teach us, in the end, however, by the Christian witness of love even toward our enemies, the Jєωιѕн people will be converted and enter the Church. St. Paul teaches this explicitly in Sacred Scripture, and the holy Fathers with moral unanimity assure us that day, which is likely near, will certainly come. It will probably coincide with the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, when various nations will enter the Church; conformably to what St. Paul says, that when at long last they repent of their terrible error against God and when they are converted, great blessings will come to the whole world.
"An impressive list of Fathers can be brought out who refer to this future conversion as a fact. Included are Tertullian, Origen, Saint Hilary, Saint Ambrose, Saint John Chrysostom, Saint Jerome, Saint Cyril of Alexandria, Saint Prosper of Aquitaine, Saint Gregory the Great, Saint Isidore, Saint Bede the Venerable, and Saint Anselm. Saint Cyril of Alexandria says this: “Towards the end of time, Our Lord Jesus Christ will effect the reconciliation of His former persecutor Israel with Himself. Everybody who knows Holy Scripture is aware that, in the course of time, this people will return to the love of Christ by the submission of faith ... Yes, one day, after the conversion of the Gentiles, Israel will be converted, and the Jєωs will be astonished at the Treasure they will find in Christ”! (Commentary on Genesis, Bk. 5). Another thought among the Fathers, and it is based on the eleventh chapter of Romans, is the idea that the zeal of the converted Jєωs will be the occasion of a restoration of the apostate Gentiles, who have despised the rule of Christ the King. Father Fahey speculates that the converted Jєωs will be heartbroken over their former opposition to Our Lord and His Church, and this contrition will fuel their charity to convert all men."
