  • This week I went to a High School graduation.  It's the first graduation that I've gone to that the principal announced that 2 students in their class of 2012 would not be graduating because they had been stabbed to death (in 2 separate occurances).  Another graduate did get up on stage but she had recently come out of a coma from some tragedy.  Another member of my family noted too that this was the first graduation that he'd heard such tragic announcements.
    An interesting note: The school Chamber Singers sang "Regina Coeli" by Mozart.

  • I must say I was surprised to see Regina Coeli on the program.  They were accompanied by a piano so it left a little to be desired, but I was grateful just to see Regina Coeli there.
