  • This is amazing! This news is a month old, and I only learned it today. The Angel of Akita spoke to now 88-year-old Sr. Sasagawa in the first locution she's received since 1973. She is the nun who received the messages of Our Lady of Akita.

Things appear to be heating up.

  • I heard this last week but there has been no confirmation.  Could be a rumor.

  • But, even if it's true ... and genuine, I think it's a stretch to say that "cover in ashes" necessarily means that there remain 40 days until a great chastisement.

  • As quoted from the site the message includes the words: "please pray the Penitential Rosary every day."  Somewhat disconcerting to say the least when you run a Google to get some background on the so called Penitential Rosary!

Whoever downvoted my comment, really needs to show a confirmation.  Otherwise, they are revealing that they believe anything that suits their bias.
What is next?  Medjugore seers, reveal Bishop Williamson will be the next Pope?
This latest Akita thing currently is an unconfirmed rumor.
Have a bit of adult maturity for goodness sake.

  • Akita is a post-Vatican II "approved" apparition.

Yes, there is enough in the whole Akita story that warrants regarding the whole thing as being not from heaven at all in my opinion.

  • We have an 88 year old nun, reportedly, (but not confirmed), issuing a very vague message through an anonymous 3rd party nun after mistaking the angel for her dead sister?

I thought that angels pretty much always appeared as male figure and not female.  Are there female angels in any vision ever?

Could well be that she is going senile at 88 years old.  The message sounds like the mumblings of a senile OAP.  It makes very little sense.  Why not make it clearer?

The story could be an entire fabrication, there are plenty of trolls who would get their kicks from religious people getting excited.

It is unfalsifiable because there is no way to check it, no timeline, no series of events of single event which must happen.

BUT...even assuming it is all true, then so what?

If "the living will envy the dead", why would I want to be the living?

I don't need a warning.  I'll just die in the fire from heaven and I am better off than "the survivors".

  • My suspicion is that Akita is yet another distraction from Fatima, the messages of which had never been heeded.  Apparitions allegedly first occurred on an October 13th.

  • It is not much of a distraction.  I doubt that more than 1% of practicing Catholics could even quote the 1973 message.

There is not much to it.

Fire will fall from the sky are some point in the future.
    You'll probably get wiped out.
Those who survive will wish they didn't and envy the dead.

It's like telling a person they will get incurable cancer at some point in their life and there is nothing they can do to stop it.

    Pass me the bourbon
    And cotton candy will ya?

Fire from heaven doesn’t sound great, especially if you are a reprobate.

So live each day as if it was your last, pray, repent, and make sure to fast.

Then be aware of the fires of hell, as soon we shall sing Veni veni Emmanuel

all the shot glasses will be cleaned with great care, in the hope that Jack Daniels soon will be there.😀

  • Thank God for Saintly Sister Agnes Sasagawa, probably one of the holiest souls today. What is the essence of the message of Akita? The same one as that of Our Lady of Fatima, and that of the Gospel for that matter, to pray, to be holy, to sacrifice and make reparation. Our Lady told us to pray much, especially the Rosary, for the Pope and the Bishops. In the 1970s, She suggested much of the temporal punishment due to man's cuмulative sins could still be averted by prayer and sacrifice. As some have noted, the more recent message is not that hopeful on the score. This was also on the very eve of the Amazon sin-od. Our Lady is giving those who have their eyes open a warning. She already spoke of infiltration, the work of the devil infiltrating the Church, the Altars being desecrated, the demons very cunningly attacking especially Bishops, Priests, Religious and Consecrated souls etc. It is prayer and sacrifice the Church needs most, and it is that that will help bring forward the Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart over all these evils.

"The first message received by Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa on June 6, 1973, was a call for prayer and sacrifice for the glory of the Father and salvation of souls. The second message, August 3, 1973, was for prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices to soften the Father's anger.

The third message on October 13, 1973, the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima is as follows: "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
"The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."

"We wish also to make amends for the insults to which Your Vicar on earth and Your Priests are everywhere subjected [above all by schismatic sedevacantists - Nishant Xavier], for the profanation, by conscious neglect or Terrible Acts of Sacrilege, of the very Sacrament of Your Divine Love; and lastly for the Public Crimes of Nations who resist the Rights and The Teaching Authority of the Church which You have founded." - Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Lord Jesus.

By 1973, my guess is that probably 90% of the world was without the True Mass for *at least* a year - but not one single word about it from Akita. Also not one word about the Council, the new "mass", heretical teachings , heretical hierarchy, heretical priests and so on. Repeating the message of Fatima does not make any sense because between 1965 and 1973, the Church was taken over by her enemies, yet not one word about any of that.

Akita tells us to repent and better ourselves - whatever that means. Are we supposed to go to a NO priest who hears confession in a sports shirt and blue jeans face to face to repent? - only to be told by the NO priest that we have no need of repentance? Or do we repent and better ourselves like the prots and go directly to God?

In short, as far as Akita is concerned, by all accounts the conciliar church is the Catholic Church - which is enough for me to reject Akita as a fraud.
