  • A Nassau-Hessian ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ Pastor:  "We are crying for God with desire."

Wiesbadent (kath.net/idea)  In order to make a powerful media echo, about 200 [Mostly over 60] visitors packed a church to have an "erotic Liturgy" on the 5th of August in the Wiesbaden city district of Mainz-Kastel.  It was held under the motto, "In the Vineyard of Love".  Numerous media reported about the service in the internet editions, by "Frankfurter Rundschau", the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung", the "Suddeutsche Zeitung", "Die Welt", "Stern", "Focus" and of course "Der Spiegel".

Edit:   The local was unimpressed, but the pastor's language is quite deplorable and odd.  Why should people be subjected to this sort  of thing?

  • Fortunately, this fellow is not a priest.  He is a Lutheran.  No sacraments were harmed in the making of this "Liturgy".
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

just because V2 or NO has no statement "you shall do this" or not, there is an unwritten set of rules to interpret and carry out.

Fr. McLucas had a good talk on this, noted that what is important is not often what is said, but left unsaid or implied......

If this was a SSPX/SV, etc group-think this would fly? or in most Catholic nations prior to 1960's?

gives scandal, but true, a fake service......likely, some liberal NO clergy/laity would take this up, as post 1962, everyone wants to act Protestant.......and accept their innovations....

an undisciplined SSPX or SSPX priest might very well do this

but first the priest might consider his parish

    would his parish attend?

    probly not

NO priests dont want to rock the boat or else parish will disappear

so they let things slide so the people get what they want

or they throw them a bone

    in this case literally

but then doesnt take much to drive NO parish away
