I'm not trying to cast any doubt or anything else on Garabandal, but I was very creeped out by the children running backwards and then slamming their knees down incredibly hard to kneel in front of our Lady... Would our Lady cause such a strange spectacle? (forgive me , but it appeared bizarely occultic- not saying it was, but gave me that feeling) It all seemed very weird, even barring the Joey Lamangino stuff. As far as the prophesies, I don't think there is anything against Church teaching and I found myself considering them at an earlier time. Now pretty much suspect of the whole thing.

I was told  that Father Miara, the pastor at Holy Innocents in Manhattan, recommended that his children watch the move about Garabandal. Some of them watched it. They told us at coffee hour. Tom (Mount Aetna) told me that he thought Father Miara was a good priest and that he had no strikes against him. He said the same about the priest at my local Novus Ordo parish, Father Henue, who was recently in China serving the faithful there and trying to convert the pagans (That he had no strikes against him).

Tom knows more about the Church than anyone I know. When I talk to him he tells me about priests and Bishops and all the Churches. He seems to know every picture and every statue in every Church. Perhaps he only knows the ones relevant to me that are special to me. When I needed to pray to Saint Lucy he told me about a statue of her. When I told him I was devoted to Gemma, he told me where there was a picture of her. He is a friend. We have never fought, even though he has a temper. I love him dearly.

I bought Tom a book (the Vigano book) and he was generous and overpaid for it by twenty cents. He offers to buy me coffee and food and when I offer to pay for him he always refuses. He is generous and kind, even though he is disabled with cancer and has very limited money because he is living off of disability. I love him dearly.

Obviously the reported overhearing of the children asking the Blessed Virgin about the council, and of the overhearing of the responding along the lines of "o good the council will speak well of you" and "so through the council and the miracle the world will be converted" is problematic.

However

1) we don't actually know what Our Blessed mother said to the kids. It may be our Lady was referring to a later council....

2) It may be that the children are caught up in the collective enthusiasm for their council and are applying their enthusiasm on Our Lady's words

3) It may be that the point Our Lady was speaking was prior to the complete hijacking of the council by the new docuмents etc etc, the re writing of the apparently orthodox original docuмents and their replacement by modernism.

4) it may be that the report is incorrect, these so called sayings that the children apparently said are not very athoritative in the whole garabandal scheme.

It is not necessary to "save" Garabandal. Do you "need" it?

St. John of the Cross: Even true apparitions, beware.

What an apparition says does not always happen. They ain't the Fifth Gospel.
