To the people of this forum:

I have posted several threads on this forum asking honest questions.

Now, I know that I am far from perfect-far be it from me to criticize anybody about anything. But, it seems that some misconceptions have risen here against me.

I want to address some issues a couple posters here seem to have with me. I have been accused of the most crazy things sometimes. I would really like to try to clear up any misconceptions you seem to have about me.

So, let me begin.

1.) Recently, I was confused and was posting anti-papacy things on here. I had since renounced those beliefs and have acknowledged that I DO believe in the papacy, in Benedict XVI.

2.) I am NOT the poster known as Uriel.

3.) I am NOT a new-ager.

4.) I am NOT a Protestant.

5.) I am NOT a pot-head. I have never/will never do drugs.

4.) I am not a master theologian. I simply ask questions, hoping to see what the more knowledgeable members here have to say in regard to what the Church teaches. If I post anything that is contrary to what the Church teaches, I renounce it as soon as someone makes it known to me.

If I have offended you in any way, sorry.

The Church teaches that a heretic is outside the Church.

A heretic is anyone who professes beliefs that are either contrary to dogmatic definitions of the Catholic Church, or that have been explicitly condemned.

Father Ratzinger is a heretic who denies dogmas of the Holy Catholic Church. You may find this one to be an interesting place to start, since it is one you can relate to.

Ratzinger denies the supreme primacy papacy.

Therefore, Father Ratzinger is outside the Church, as are those who follow him. Happy reading.

There is a small group of people who claim the Chair of Peter has been sede vacante for over 5oo years.

In their "opinion," the Sistine Chapel is heretical.

There is a small group of people who claim the Chair of Peter has been sede vacante for over 100 years.

In their "opinion," Vatican 1 Dogma of Papal Infallibility is heretical.

There is a small group of people who claim the Chair of Peter has been sede vacante for over 40 years.

In their "opinion," Vatican 2 contradicts former teaching of the Church.

There is a large group who believe the Church fell into apostasy in the 4th century.

They are the Protestants.

Vatican II DOES contradict former teachings of the Church through its ambiguities. But believing that does not make one a sedevacantist. A sede is a person who doesn't believe we have a reigning Pope in Rome. The SSPX think VII contradicts former teachings of the Church and they believe Pope Benedict XVI is the Pope. Therefore they are not sedevacantists.
