AN APOCALYPTIC VISION OF OUR LORD

  • A visionary, well known to the writer of this posting, once had a vision of Jesus Christ Our Lord. His face showed an "anger that was not from this world". His eyes were "in flame" in a way that no word of the existing vocabulary can accuratly describe it.

The vision occured during the Spiritual Exercise of the resurrection of Christ when Jesus leaves the tomb in order to meet with His mother the Blessed Virgin Mary. At first the visionary "sensed" Jesus awaking, and standing, and walking away towards His mother. The visionary "sensed" the presence of Mary. Then Our Lord appeared from a blurry image and became visible, while Mary remained invisible. The Lord was turning His back, then He turned slowly in a clockwise direction, and showed His face. The visionary retracted in fear and shame for his own sins as well as for all other sins it seemed, at the sight of the anger of God.

The visionary wrote a testimonial to a few, including a priest. The priest rebuked the testimonial as being the object of imagination.

How is it that an obvious apocalyptic vision can be dismissed from a priest of part of the Church who rebukes apostasies that are such that we must all recognize the End Time season?

  • What I would say to that visionary is that Jesus told Josepha Menendez that if He told her to do something and her superiors told her no, that He wasned her to obeyher superiors. He said that she would please him if she obeyed her superiors mor than if she were to have done as He asked.

Also remember in the Bible, Samual said to Saul "It is obediance that God requires, not sacrifices.

Jesus considers in these special cases that you should consider the voice of your spiritual director as the voice of God.

Belloc, have a little faith.  If this visionary is good enough for Jack in the Box, it should be good enough for us...   :roll-laugh1: :dancing-banana:

  • Dear "SpiritusSanctus",
If the "visionary" had seen dancing bananas, Jack in the Box would have reported it, but no! there was no "dancing bananas".

It would have been conforting to prove that the said "visionary" is unrealiable because the visions have a apocalyptic tone.

Jack in the Box is not a polemist. He is just a writing hand. He reports with a scrupulous desire to project the "big picture" as seen, felt and lived. For example he has followed a local event that occured last week in Nevada. This event is the Burning Man, a monstrous pagan party that is in reality a cult of Baal. Tens of thousands have attended the event.

The said report on the Burning Man's aftermath is titled Post-BM 2012. It was posted yesterday. It is in the form of a painting representing two rival camps: the camp of hell (with its legions, its weapons and its officers), and the camp of heaven (with its saints, its ill used assets and its torpor). The report does not include a visionary, but might have an apocalyptic tone.

    Your critics is welcomed.

    Post-BM

     :roll-laugh2:

Not the best choice for a thread title, since "BM" can mean more than just "Burning Man".

You also have to admit that an anonymous, un-approved visionary isn't going to be taken seirously by a majority of people.

You also have to admit that an anonymous, un-approved visionary isn't going to be taken seriously by a majority of people.
