  • I realize that I'm a new member, but, I wanted to share my conversion, or reversion, to the Catholic faith. I was a (very)fallen away Catholic who was lost in a world of secularism. In 1999 I had some amazing encounters that awakened my soul.

    Over the years I've shared my encounters numerous times, but, feeling a sense of urgency I recently developed a site to share my testimonial.

    The site I created I titled Close encounters with the Holy Trinity. My encounters;

    http://personalrevelation.wordpress.com/about-the-pages/you-are-purified/

    http://personalrevelation.wordpress.com/about-the-pages/abba/

    I've been veiwing numerous Catholic forums recently in an effort to convey my experiences. This site, in particular, seems to understand that there is a something more occuring that shouldn't be ignored. I hope that my testimony will be appreciated by the members of this forum.

    In Christ, Jon

  • I've just read your testimonials and frankly, it sounds more of a Protestant than a Catholic one. There were few paragraphs that noted some Catholic teachings but it was never given deeper emphasis.

    Also, you mentioned the Blessed Trinity and your guardian angel but I was wondering why you never gave any single attribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • Hi Joan,

    The reason I didn't give any attributes to the Blessed Mother is because She was not revealed to me during my encounters. I do, however, attribute her by stating that it was through my wife praying the rosary that led to these encounters, which I believe promotes reconciling oneself to God.

    I trust that the Blessed Mother fulfilled her role in leading me back to the Church.

    My objective was to recount my experiences in a humble, geniune manner.

    Just because I didn't witness Mary doesn't mean I'm attempting to express a protestant perspective.
