  • The band's name is Altan Urag. They're a Mongolian group that uses only traditional Mongolian instruments in their music (with the exception of the drums)... no electric instruments! The throat singing heard in some of their pieces is pretty cool. Some of their music falls into the classical category and some of it is considered rock. Their songs focus on Mongol history and social issues.
