BOD and BOB belong to the universal and unanimous teaching of the church approved theologians and the constant tradition and teaching of the Church's universal and ordinary magisterium, especially int he Catechism of Trent which all the Bishops of the Catholic Church taught and promoted until 1991. Therefore, it is safe to say that all the teachings contained therein were taught by all the bishops in union with the Pope.

All I'm saying is that you can't call someone a heretic because they're not a Feeneyite -- or because they are one.

Apparently there's a grey area when it comes to BoD and BoB -- otherwise there wouldn't be such a large Feeneyite contingent.

Personally, I believe BoD and BoB are part of the Catholic Faith. As a general rule, I don't like the company of Feeneyites. But there are plenty of Sedevacantists that are similarly dry, bitter, with no sweet savor of Christ. C'est la vie.

But this is a message board, and the point of it is to discuss. I can't forbid every Catholic that disagrees with me on some obscure point of theology. Dogmas are about the only clear-cut rules I can have recourse to. The lines must be visible and clear.

Anything theologians could argue and discuss about -- anything where you have one Catholic theologian on one side, and another Catholic theologian on the other -- those are things you can discuss here.

I always thought BOB and BOD has been taught by the Church and were dogmatic, even though never formally declared. But I am no theologian. Ban me if you must.

Short version: I'm not a Feeneyite either. But I don't want people calling other members non-Catholics unless they really ARE non-Catholic. If they believe they're Catholic, for example, chances are THEY ARE CATHOLIC. It's pompous of any layman to presume to excommunicate this or that Catholic, just because they disagree with us on a point of theology. Not dogma, but theology -- things that can be disputed.

That's what my declaration was meant to address.

BOD and BOB are Dogma's of the Ordinary Infallible Magisterium, they cannot be debated whether or not they are true, you must assent that they are true.

What can be debated is a nature, you may ask who can be saved by such and enter the church in that way, but to deny that they are true is to reject a dogma. Whether it is part of the Extraordinary Magisterium is of no matter. To deny this is to declare that Arius was ok to deny the Trinity before Nicea, or worse to think Luther was ok in his beliefs that were not condemned before Trent. They were condemned because they were always Dogma.
