I would love to see the CMRI set up shop in the St. Louis, MO area.

I know money is an issue, but there are dozens of barely used churches in the St. Louis / Belleville, IL area that could possibly be procured by CMRI (or even SSPV) and then renovated.  St. Peregrine's in Ohio started out as a protestant church.

 I also pray for the restoration of the Catholic Church as a whole.

Where the sacraments are valid, there I will go. I have to admit I don't care one iota what political leaning a priest or bishop has for or against the Church under Benedict (when choosing a church to go to) because I see this is as a controversial argument which for me only the future can answer. Therefore I think labeling a person over the opinion of whether the Pope is not the Pope is even less useful than seeing if someone believes or doesn't believe in anthropomorphic climate change. Basically, the person's opinion has no practical effect so it is irrelevant when making judgments of character.

On the other hand, if I was actively campaigning a bishop to swing for or against the Papacy (which may or may not be valid) then I might care if my future wife was opposed to my actions.

Quote from: Orthodox Catholic

So how is it possible to save our souls if we are not strict about what is, and is not, Catholic, the precise and definitive way; the only way; the One True Faith; to save our souls ???  How can we be laissez-faire about the method and yet expect a certain result ?  If I put all the correct ingredients for a pork curry, in their correct measure, into a blender, I will not get pork curry, I will get frothy pork mush, that a dog can't eat.

That is not pleasing to God.

I don't know if I have communicated my confusion re what this site is and how to conduct myself here.  I do not wish to argue any of the above points.  The issue I am experiencing is simply this: I have no idea what is, and is not, acceptable to post here; what posts will get me banned.  Eg. the Dimond brothers (soft sedes, heretics) are not banned, but the sedes are banned.  This is about all doctrinal issues, not sedevacantism only, I am using that as one example of the many.

Discussions about a BOD go in the BOD forum, which is a subforum of the Crisis forum. Discussions about Sedevacantism go in the Crisis Forum.
If you've not found them yet: here is a link to the Crisis in the Church forum. You'll find the BOD subforum here as well.

Oh yes, as Matthew has said - bring along your thickest skin of you choose to participate in the above two forums.

Speaking for myself, I have never felt that this forum or any Internet forum represents the Church.

Forums like this are a place of discussion and prior to Vatican II, they would not even have a reason to exist at all.  One God, One Faith and One SACRAMENTAL Baptism.
The reason they are so "popular" with souls that are trying to keep the Faith is proof that we are without a True pope, the sheep are scattered.

I think we are all sedevacantist HERE, I notice when the "popes" after Vatican II, say something CATHOLIC, it is the non-sedevacantist that make the most noise about it, almost as if they are surprised that "their" pope said something Catholic, yet isn't that what a True Pope should do.

I do not assent to Matthew's declaration as written. I reject it.

I assent to Matthew's.

I do not assent to MyrnaM's.

I think we are all sedevacantist HERE,

Moderator Edit:
Just to answer a few questions,

1. I am not sedevacantist, nor is that the official position on CathInfo
2. I am not Feeneyite, nor is that the official position on CathInfo
3. My "declaration" was not intended to get into the BoD debate itself (by denying that BoD is dogma, I seem to be starting a fight, and on the side of the Feeneyites at that!) My point is that, BoD is a controverted point, and as such you can discuss/debate it on CathInfo *in the proper subforum*

In short, we go by 1970's Trad rules here on CathInfo. That is to say, we are all adrift looking for lifeboats in which to keep our Faith; seeking out true priests and sacraments and attending the Tridentine Mass whenever it's available. Furthermore, Feeneyites sit right next to believers in BoD/BoB, Sedevacantists sit right next to Recognize & Resist, and so forth. We don't do that whole SCHISMATIC, SECTARIAN thing which is practiced at all too many chapels here and there.

If you are a Traditional Catholic, then you are my brother in the Faith, period. How do I know if you are a Traditional Catholic? You were baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, you attend the Tridentine Mass exclusively, and practice the Catholic Faith. It doesn't matter if you and I disagree on the Pope question, the specifics of Baptism of Desire, or which Republican candidate would be better for the country (Cruz, Trump, Rubio, etc.)

Keep in mind that Catholics are only commanded to avoid CONDEMNED, FORMALLY EXCOMMUNICATED HERETICS, DECLARED VITANDI BY THE CHURCH. Even if you encounter a Catholic who you believe to be a heretic, you don't necessarily have to avoid him, if he hasn't been formally condemned. (On the other hand, anyone openly adhering to a protestant sect is basically admitting they are a heretic). Otherwise it's too easy for people to condemn the wrong person through ignorance of theology, each man acting as his own pope...
