pledges to mother earth and the trees, bugs, fungus and stuff..........
I Pledge Allegiance Poster
Sep 7, 2009 – "I pledge allegiance to the earth and all the life
which it supports. One planet, in our care, irreplacable, [sic] with
SUSTENANCE and RESPECT for all" [sic]
"It seems to me that with the amount of propaganda that the
schools try to fill our kids' heads with, all they're truly doing is
admitting to the weakness of their position. If liberalism was
really such a strong and winning argument, then they wouldn't
need to inculcate kids with such a machine. Their arguments do
not stand on their own, and they know it."
"The teacher who put this [^] up needs to have a teachable moment.
Conservation is a conservative value. And really, besides the
challenge this presents to the pledge of allegiance, which is
perhaps a little snarky, I don’t see anything in here language-wise
that any conservative couldn’t agree with."
IMHO this guy [^] doesn't know any true conservatives. (E.g.,
...with sustenance and respect for all pathogens and sociopaths?)
Oct 27, 2011 – “I pledge allegiance to the Earth and all its natural
systems. Interdependence is what I seek, on one planet, with one
people, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
That last part probably sounds familiar, but what about the rest of
the pledge? That’s the product of a controversy raging at John
Stanford International School in Seattle’s Wallingford
neighborhood.
The alternative pledge is printed on flyers posted near the
school. The posters are a sign of protest against a school-wide
renewal of the traditional pledge’s recitation every morning..

I pledge allegiance to Mother Earth and to all life that it nourishes.
All growing things, all species of animals and all races of people.
I promise to protect all life in our planet. To live in harmony with nature.
And to share our resources justly, so that all people can live with dignity,
in good health and in peace.

http://newprogs.org/moving-forward"When I was a young man (1927) growing up in New York City, I refused
to pledge allegiance to the flag. Of course I was sent to the
principal's office. And he asked me, 'Why don't you want to
pledge allegiance? Everybody does!' I said, 'Everybody once
believed the Earth was flat but that doesn't make it so.'
I explained that America owed everything it has to other
cultures and other nations. and [sic] that I would
rather pledge allegiance to the Earth and everyone on it.Needless to say, it wasn't long before I left school entirely. and
[sic] I set up a lab in my bedroom. There I began to learn about
science and nature. I realized then that the universe is governed
by laws and that the human being along with society itself was
not exempt from these laws."
