  • in 1976 or so, I was still 9 yeas old or so.  I saw a something like UFO.  since I did not see actual occupant of UFO, I can not say they are space alien.  but, I can say it was something I can not explain. This happened in Southern Japan,  UFO stayed up steady for about 1 hour. it looks something similar to rotating fire works popular at that time, which even today during 4th of July, they sell in US.  Flying Machine appear to rotate slowly, as it rotate it changes its shape, and edge of object is brighter than rest of the body.   I live about 1 km from ocean, I thought UFO is between me and ocean.  but, when I asked people who live close to ocean, they said UFO is over ocean and it was very large at least 500 meter in diameter.  somebody took pictures of it and put on local news paper.  appearance like this happen often during that time.  I heard UFO flashed with strong light, it moved it s position, second flashing it disappeared completely.  It can be secret flying machine from Russia, US, ?  unexplained weather phenomena,  time machine, extra terrestrial being , so on.

I've never heard of any 'weather phenomenon' described like that.

This is interesting.  You were an eye-witness, and you know others that were, too.  It seems to me that someone needs to write a book, and make it based on interviews and docuмented evidence, not making it any kind of fiction.

Why have not more Japanese people come out talking about this?  Are they afraid that Americans will criticize them because of all the Godzilla movies and stuff like that?

1976 was just 3 or 4 years after the Akita apparitions.  And not much was ever made of the Akita story in the USA.

Come to think of it, look how Fukushima has fallen off the front page.

Is America just not very interested in Japanese culture, or what?

  • No Aliens!   Story about St. Boniface and Pope St. Zachary -   Among their correspondence was a docuмent of special interest in the light of all the conjecture there has been about "inhabited planets" other than earth.  St. Boniface complained to the Pope that an Irish priest named Virgilius was disturbing men's minds by teaching "that there was another world, other men on another planet beneath the earth, another sun, and another moon."

"If it is well proved that Virgilius has spoken thus," Pope Zachary wrote, "you must convene a council and expel him from the Church.  We are addressing to this same Virgilius letters of evocation, so that he may be minutely questioned in our presence and, if found guilty of holding false doctrine, he may be sentenced to canonical punishment."

It transpired that in the end it was not necessary for St. Zachary to condemn Virgilius, for the priest completely yielded to the correction and counsel of his Holy Father and went on, in the light of pure and chaste theology, to sanctify himself.  He became bishop of Salzburg, and, glorious to relate, lived a life of such holiness and heroism that he was canonized by Pope Gregory IX.

But Pope Saint Zachary did denounce in this connection, "certain heretics who maintained the existence of a race of men not descended from Adam and not ransomed by Christ."

It should be added, because of the controversy which later centered around it, that this condemnation of Pope Zachary's was not intended to mean that he condemned the opinion that the world was round and that men might easily be living on the other side of it - as some have tried to make out - for both Pope Zachary and Saint Boniface were well acquainted with the fact that the earth was round and one of the Doctors of the Church, the Venerable Bede, had expressly taught so.  But he did condemn, and we have his words for it, the teaching of the existence of a race of men - on another planet - who were not, and who could not have been, descended from Adam and who were not ransomed by Christ.

That's the problem I've always had with aliens.  If they exist, then the bible is not true and of course, neither is catholic tradition, since the two seem inseparable.  If the bible is true, then they do not exist.  It's always been as simple as that for me, but not everyone is like that.
