  • Hi -

I thought somewhere, recently, on CI there was a thread that included a link to two handwritten notes by ABL regarding the ordinations of post-V2 priests.  His notes stated that he found them, perhaps, questionable.

I have combed through pages of threads and can't seem to find it.  I googled it to no avail.

Can anyone here point me to them, please?

Thank you for your assistance.  God bless.

  • I would email novusordowatch or the webmaster at restoration radio. I remember listening to a program on one or the other websites that discuss those letters.

  • In the book about the new rite of ordination that the SSPX always brings up to say the new rite can be valid (they never said it is always valid or that it is never valid, they said it depends on the intentions of the ordaining  bishop), THE ORDER OF MELCHISEDECH - A Defence of the Catholic Priesthood by Michael Davies 1979 AND 1993, Davies himself concludes that it is valid (and barely so)in the original Latin edition because it was promulgated by the pope. He however concedes that no one uses the original Latin edition.

What does HIS book tell anyone with eyes to see (for Davies does not say so)?

#1 - all new rite ordinations not done in the original Latin, are at best doubtful.

#2 - If Paul VI was not a real pope, all Novus Ordo ordinations are invalid.

I have no doubts, I go to SSPX ordained priests.

  • Well, someone hear may bring out about Michael Davies writings and his change of thoughts, which he did have.

Valid ordination is to be an absolute.  The new rite changed Holy Orders in such a way, that there is no consecrated priest, but just a stand by.  So, this has been since 1967? about.

The new rite is exactly that, new.  If all was True before, why is there a change to new.

True, one plus one is 2.  No change, is needed.   Nothing new is needed. True is true.  Those who like change are the darwinist, evolutionist, progressives and that is Marxist.

Those who follow or do these changes, can expect themselves to be excommunicated.  Just that simple.

  • In the first few minutes of this video, Fr. Cekada says that ABL believed that the new rite of ordination is doubtful and that the new rite of episcopal consecration is invalid.
