  • Atheists do not believe that there is a God, so why do they take the Lords name in vain, like saying, oh my God?

  • That's a good question. Maybe they know it is offensive to believers and they do it for this reason, like some atheists like to offend believers by desecrating the blessed sacrament. Or maybe they just do it out of habit. Who knows. It is a good question.

I agree with this.  However, many who do claim to believe in God also do so.  I would assume that it is out of habit more than anything in most cases.
The good shepherd giveth his life for his sheep.  But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth, and the wolf catcheth, and scattereth the sheep.  A

  • Why do they celebrate Christmas if they don't believe that Jesus Christ their Savior was born that day; or do they just believe in Santa Claus.  The Easter bunny and the tooth fairy with their children.

Actually it takes more faith to believe that everything just happened in proper order than to believe that someone is behind  creation and that someone is a Supreme Being.

  • Why do they so often define themselves according to what they believe doesn't exist?

Why are they offended by the mere mention of something that, according to them, doesn't exist?

  • Thus is proven the Scripture, "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.'". Ps. 14:1
Or, as Bp. W. puts it, "Their minds have turned to mush."
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Western civilaization is based in Christianity, these people are Christian in many ways even if they claim to be atheists. Like one atheists I was arguing with who got really upset that the pope had lied ( it was something like that). So asked him if he didn't believe in God why he had such a problem with lying.  So he says a lot of religions have rules against lying, but who cares, there is no God you can do whatever you want. But they don't want that either, they want God's rules, some of them anyway.

Point is, these people aren't really atheists, at least their behavior and worldview is not consistent with the belief that there is no God. They are kinda more like heretics, a lot of them anyway.

Imagine if you really honestly believed there was no God.

Which reminds me, why do Atheists viciously attack the moral principals of Christianity, while professing moral relativism?  :roll-laugh2:

  • If there were no God why would they care?
    :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:

Of course the real athiests to worry about aren't the ones making all the athiest noise. The real athiests to worry about are the ones in leadership of the Church.
