The facts of this case:

Justina's parents were receiving treatment for their daughters problem at one hospital.

They made the mistake of going to a doctor at Children's Hospital in Boston.

Children's social workers accused them of medical neglect.

Security would not let them leave or take their daughter.

A Massachusetts judge rubber stamped Children's decision.

The girl was held hostage in a Psychiatric ward of Children's Hospital for almost a year.

The parents were placed under a gag order and not allowed to protest or talk about it

The father protested and spoke out! causing a national outcry.

Instead of releasing the girl, the Court placed her in foster Care.

Her parents are not drug abusers, not criminals, just loving parents who are law abiding citizens.

This is not a case of child abuse, it is a case of a State demanding a treatment plan against the wishes of the girl's parents. In this case the girl was already under the care of another set of Doctors, who had already diagnosed her condition.

Children's Hospital after only knowing this girl for a matter of hours, dismissed the diagnosis of her Doctors, and placed her in a locked Psychiatric ward for almost a year against the wishes of her parents. They were able to do this by getting a stupid judge to rubber stamp their actions.

If this case stands, this will give a green light to doctors and hospitals to demand that parents agree with them or lose their children to the State to be placed in Foster care or possibly be adopted out.

It looks like the State of Massachusetts, under pressure, and being exposed for its injustice will finally allow this innocent girl to be freed after over one year of holding her against her will from her parents.

This case should be a warning to all parents: Be very careful what hospitals and doctors you use. The doctors in this case knew this girl for only hours and decided that she was a "victim of medical neglect," and seized her from her parents with the cooperation of the State for over one year.

Be a careful and research your doctors!
