  • Right now, with less than an hour to Sundown, it's 84.5 "feels like 89".

    Global warming!

(Hey, I didn't say anthropogenic global warming, so it's all good... hahaha)

And lest you think we live near the equator, grow bananas here, etc. I'll have you know that our "normal" for today is 66 with a low of 46.

Instead, we have to settle for 86 and a low of 61.

That Sun is sure having a nice solar maximum...

  • Your weather is blowing northeast, but not for long.  Tomorrow's high in NYC is predicted at 72°F, but back down to 30°F by Tuesday evening.  We had a dusting of snow last Monday!  Many colds, bronchitis, flu, whooping cough is going around.  Weather doesn't directly cause disease, but great fluctuations can tax the immune system.  Hopefully, my bronchitis will not return.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Well, be reassured it will get cold in Dixie soon.

Northern Alberta- blizzard yesterday. About 6-7 inches of snow. Temp -13 C.

After a disgusting week of warm weather (just above zero) and warm enough to rain (and melt the little snow we had already) Our Lady of the Snows didst bring a beautiful mantle of white to cover this piece of otherwise Mordor up here at 53N Lat.

It is supposed to be a cold and snowy winter up here this year. I must....MUST have my cold and white Christmas or else the Precious will be very sad.

It was surreal being in MS last November for CS Thanksgiving, helping to cook while temps outside are what we get in September or late August. I must stick to visiting the South in the summer, and just put up with the heat.

Strange how much a soul is engrained with a certain expected weather pattern, that if it does materialize, how depression can actually set in. Granted, I am strange Catholic bear to be sure, but  a polar one at that.

Hurrah for Snow Miser (for all those who remember this Yule special)
