Could our Catholic school children today have this much faith and devotion?

Gosh, I was five years old and attended parochial and public school in 1951.
At lease the public schools were not hostile to religion. I remember that
every Friday, the catholic students of the public school I attended for
a while were bused to the local Catholic Church for Catechism class.
The schools today are very hostile towards religion and some allow
satan worship. The new school buildings  look more like prisons than
schools.
Something I never experience from K to 12 grade was any need for
campus police and security.  In college security was used to check if
your car had a parking permit. No recollection of the police called to
come on campus. People back them policed their behavior.
