And you'll never believe this --

I was on the phone with a customer from California at the time when it happened! All the sudden, he got all excited "We're having an earthquake!" I told him he should probably go, etc.

I checked CNN.com, etc. and sure enough, a few minutes later, there was a breaking news headline!

It's not every day that something like that happens.

I felt it near LAX, but this happens alot out here--no big deal.

When I said "it's not every day" I was referring to talking to someone on the phone (I only get maybe one customer on the phone every few days) and having an earthquake happen at that time.

It would be like having a phone conversation with someone in the World Trade Center on the morning of 9/11/01 or something.

Actually, no. But I did get an order from a man in California a few minutes ago. When you factor in the odds, it's probably him.

Also, it sounds like the worst damage was a few pipes breaking, and a lot of car alarms going off. Apparently a 5.4 earthquake is none too rare in California.

(Why anyone would want to live there is beyond me)
