"After the three days of darkness, St. Peter and St. Paul, having come down from Heaven, will preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope."

Well, here we have a solution to Sedevacantism. Do many sedevacantists believe that the crisis will end this way.

I think that if after three days of darkness Saints Peter and Paul come down from Heaven to preach and designate the Pope, then without any doubt, the sede would no longer be vacante.

My sedevacantist friend from Church thinks the three days of darkness will take place in October of 2017.

That's based on the 100 years from the last Fatima apparition hypothesis.

I actually think that the 100-year period began with the death of St. Pius X (1914).  Benedict XV immediately started to dismantle the anti-Modernist apparatus put into place by St. Pius X.

What did Benedict XV do?

Benedict XV began to immediately dismantle the AntiModernist apparatus put in place by St. Pius X.  He felt that it was too negative or too harsh.

Among other things, he demoted Cardinal Merry del Val.
