  • Are there only 3 absolute rights and only 3 absolute duties accorded to man: 1) to know God, 2) to love God, and 3) to serve God?

By absolute rights I would mean that all other rights if they be true (i.e., justifiable in the eyes of God) are ultimately contingent upon one or more of them.

By absolute duties I would mean that all other duties if they be true (i.e., justifiable in the eyes of God) are ultimately contingent upon one or more of them.

I lack any kind of a thorough education in Catholic Philosophy and Catholic Theology and make no pretense at having any special insight into answering the above question, but admit to having long pondered it and to having tended to answer the question in the affirmative.
