OK, I registered. Followed a link from FishEaters. Seems safe enough. Please don't hurt me. :scared2:
You're quoting Lametabili (or however it's spelled) from Pius X... You're safe with me so far.
But seriously... while it may be worse elsewhere, "in-fighting" and malice and all out verbal barbecues are pretty much a universal problem, and all the more so when you're discussing serious topics that really do matter, like religion or politics (in the sense that it really does matter whether or not our leaders and so forth are moral and upright or not). Usually the sparks fly over these things.
HOWEVER... this forum has rules. If things get out of hand with people flinging personal insults (rather than calmly, maturely discussing their opinions, however much they differ), I'm sure Chant will be happy to post the rules regarding various points of deplorable behavior that are forbidden on this board.
The GREAT thing about CathInfo, is that you really may discuss anything (though for sanity's sake the sede vs non sede stuff had to be restricted to one forum). You just have to be civil about it, which is nothing less than we ought to expect from one another as Catholics.
If we can't calmly discuss our differences without personal insults, vehement condemnations (as opposed to simple condemnations of the errors themselves) and so forth, we have much bigger problems to deal with in our personal lives than what someone else thinks that we don't agree with. Charity is kind of a "biggie".
