  • Does anyone else find this repulsive? This is where Novus Ordo junk "theology" is at right now: finding "parallels" in the frozen castle of the movie to St. Theresa's Castle in the Interior Castle and between the effeminate snowman and Our Lord Himself!

I would even say the whole thing seems blasphemous.

  • I think these are people trying way too damn hard. It's a mindless Disney movie that's there to keep kids busy on flights and that's it.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

  • The defenders of Vatican II have made a career of looking for marvels in garbage.

So we have a piece of French toast or a pancake that sells for thousands of dollars online because it has what appears to be the image of Our Lady in the burn marks.

A cheeto they say looks like Harambe (the gorilla) has been bid up to $100,000 on eBay.

The marvel seekers who look for beauty in Nostra aetate or Sacrosanctum concilium are like someone looking for beauty in a mud puddle or a pile of manure.

The Faith of Catholics doesn't need to search for hidden meaning in Disney movies.  Catholics are far better off not watching that rotgut at all in the first place.

There is no social redeeming value in anything that has come out of Disney in the past 30 years, unfortunately.  And what came before that has a lot of question marks lurking in the shadows.

  • Perhaps they should stick to the truth:  that Disney took a beautiful fairy tale about overcoming the devil and evil by hoping in the Christ child and praying the Our Father, and turned it into modern ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ feminist propaganda tale all to distort little minds and make money.

Then little Gerda repeated the Lord’s Prayer, and the cold was so great that she could see her own breath come out of her mouth like steam as she uttered the words. The steam appeared to increase, as she continued her prayer, till it took the shape of little angels who grew larger the moment they touched the earth. They all wore helmets on their heads, and carried spears and shields. Their number continued to increase more and more; and by the time Gerda had finished her prayers, a whole legion stood round her. They thrust their spears into the terrible snow-flakes, so that they shivered into a hundred pieces, and little Gerda could go forward with courage and safety. The angels stroked her hands and feet, so that she felt the cold less, and she hastened on to the Snow Queen’s castle.

I was going to say this same thing. I don't believe this movie should be seen by anyone, least of all children.

Yeah. I remember in Sleeping Beauty, in the final battle the fairy tells the prince to arm himself with a "sword of truth and shield of virtue." I don't think they have said anything coming close to that in any of the movies in the last 20 years.
