Yes, you can substitute "purified by fire" for "destroyed" any time I speak about the End of the World -- it really amounts to the same thing, as far as our current way of life is concerned.

Just like it wouldn't matter if I took your car and destroyed it, or had it "recycled" -- either way, you're walking from now on!  :laugh1:
