This is an interesting video. Some of the thoughts expressed here are rubbish but there is a lot of truth here as well. It's mainly about "Social Media" and its effect on civilization. The first chap you see is wearing blue nail polish but just move along. What's also interesting is something many people have used and twisted a quote that's used in this video for their own benefit. And, that is a quote by Joseph Goebbels where he stated that: "If you tell a lie long enough people will come to believe it". Most people use this quote to imply that that was a favourite tactic of the National Socialists, when in fact Goebbels made that statement in reference to what the western powers were saying about Germany: Lies!

Moving along, we were having breakfast in a restaurant after Mass one Sunday with a couple from Church when in walks a family of five. They were seated a proceed to each pull-out their "smartphones" and began playing about with them. None of them spoke a word to each other: yes, parents included.

That's why I've never had a Fraudbook, Twit-ter, instagarbage, nor any other so-called social media account. Oh, I neglected to mention Jєωgle.

These things are posted by some "christian" chap so just ignore the parts where there may be a "preacher".

Twitter got Trump elected.  It is a viable format for news and exposing the fake news.

The rest is mostly garbage, though kids like snap chat to communicate.

To discard it all is foolish.

I know Trump got elected using Twitter but I did have to use it to know that. Well, keep on using it then, it's not my problem.

It's a waste of life! What, you think there's no other way to get solid information? The vast majority of junk posted on these venues are from a lot of narcissistic nincompoops.

Whoa, down boy.  I didn't say to participate in social media, I said don't ignore it.  

It is influencing society and if we just ignore that influence then we will be unprepared to oppose it.  It would be like a general ignoring the fact that his enemy has airborne bombers and continuing to think he's fighting a ground war.  Does he rush out and buy his own?  No.  But he must come up with a strategy to bring them down.

We must come up with an effective strategy to counter the negative influence of social media, or turn it to our benefit.  Either way, we cannot ignore it.

Leave it to us.

If you want to live like an Amish person, there is nothing wrong with that.
I prefer to use a car and modern conveniences personally.
Ive learned much from the internet- from electrical, to plumbing to wood working, to hunting dogs and trained one on a forum by and large. I will not throw out the baby with the bath water.
We are winning the Meme War as well, and the powers that be are scared out of their wits and want clamps on speech.  It shows you how powerful and how successful the Alt Right has become.  GOD Bless them.
