  • Why the "Sir"? Shouldn't he go by "Mrs." Eltona Joan?

  • The "Sir" is an honorable title used in England, so he gets to use "Sir" in front of his name because he was named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1996, (CBE), and then he was knighted by QE2 for "services to music and charitable services" in 1998.

Not entirely correct.  While Elton John is a Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, this does not entitle him, or anyone else, to use the title "sir."  There are five classes of the Order, but only the two highest entitle the bearer of the award to use the title "sir" or "dame":

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
Knight Commander or Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire

Elton John is entitled to use "sir" only because he was made a Knight Bachelor (as you noted) in 1998.

Only those who hold the following offices/awards are entitled to use "sir" or "dame":

    Baronet
Knight of the Order of the Garter
Knight of the Order of the Thistle
Knight Commander or Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath
Knight Commander or Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George
Knight Commander or Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order
Knight Commander or Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire
    Knight Bachelor

  • Sod Elton John is who and what he actually is, and all the titles and honorifics concocted by the apostate royals of England cannot change that objective fact (though they're designed to distract us from it).

Ditto for Sod Noel Coward, Sod John Gielgud, and Sod Ian McKellen.

I know this is a title they use there in England, but I thought, given that he is a public and declared sodomite, why would he not insist he be called a "dame" instead, or at least refuse the title altogether.

"Ten years ago one of the biggest obstacles in the fight against AIDS was the Catholic Church. Today we have a pope that speaks out about it," said John, earning cheers from the attendees at Cipriani's on Wall Street.

    Quote

"He is a compassionate, loving man who wants everybody to be included in the love of God," John said of the pope. "It is formidable what he is trying to do against many, many people in the church that opposes. He is courageous and he is fearless, and that's what we need in the world today."
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

Of course. Non-Catholics don't know of the damage he has done to the Church. They only see this bleeding-heart liberal superhero, which is why they love him so much. It's the face Bergoglio projects to the world.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...
