Headlines (IDM) 7/6/19: POPE CHANGES LORD'S PRAYER TO PUT BLAME ON THE DEVIL.
'The Pontiff approved an alteration to the line 'lead us not into temptation' for the globe's 1.2 billion Catholics. Pope francis said 'it is Satan who leads us into temptation, that is his department.' seemingly after 16 yeasrs of research by Biblical scholars they say an error was made to the English version of the prayer.'
Francis goes on and on inferring the Our Father Catholics have been saying for 2,000 years is akin to blasphemy. If however, we read our Bible, written under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost we find St Paul teaching us in Second Thessalonians:
“And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.” --- (2 Thes 10)
'God shall send' they say means, 'God will allow' error to test the faith of man. How do they know this and not what it says? So, why not change the Our father to 'forgive us our tresspasses and lead us away from those errors you allowed Satan to put before us.'
Personally I for one will continue to say the Our Father I was taught since I went to school in 1944.
