NewChurch still largely does, it is deperate for its own saints, apparitions,etc.....anything it can do to "prove" that there is a springtime it what is a barren tundra....why they are fervent for JP2, was for Paul VI,etc....

For those who are not aware, at the beginning of this year, the Vatican had the "Visionaries" of Medjugorje for a couple of months to look into the "apparitions" with the purpose of a possible approval before the end of the Year. So far, they have been "impressed" with them but a decision will come before the end of 2012.
Remember, The "Year of Faith" is about to kick off in October for the 50th anniversary of VII, The Pope is about to celebrate a "1962" Missal Mass on 11/3/12 and now, by then Medjugorje will be approved because the new religion needs it's own "apparitions", "saints" (ex: VII popes), etc. to represent it and that are compatible with it. Ecuмenism is the religion of Medjugorje and the religion of Rome.

I think there is a powerful party bent on legitimizing the Nouveau Theologie and other, irreconcilable philosophical outlooks.
But they are quickly losing ground in terms of demographics and God may have other plans.
Like you, I'm in the same real world, with the supernatural running through it, in the Mass and the Body of Christ living Its days in the world and in a really terrible situation.
