When did this whole negative "oh he's a Jesuit" thing start? I've heard the phrase "he's a Jesuit" said in a negative way countless times, even before Bergoglio. Was this so even before V2 or is this a post-V2 thing?

By the mid-60s, they were already starting to go off the deep end, so...during V2? Pre-V2 and centuries before that, they produced some holy saints - Ignatius of Loyola for example.

Notice the tabernacle behind them, the freestanding altar and the hideous, Modernist crucifix. This is at just one location, but some places had been experimenting with this pre-Novus Ordo crap for some time before.

They get that "He's a Jesuit" pejorative against them because post-V2, the liberalism of their order corrupted them into the Society of Sodom and Judas - what "SJ" after their name means now.

The Jesuits were hated by many non-Catholics for a long time before Vatican II also.

I was referring to the phrase being used strictly by Novus Ordo/traditionalist people.

No, I don't believe it is.

I'd like to know myself about the Jesuits. I don't know a lot about their history but they were expelled from France, Malta, Parma, Philippines, Poland and Lithuania, Russia, Spanish Empire and Naples. They have been suppressed by pope/s. Why I don't know.

I hope some learned poster comes to the fore on this one.

Jesuit Histories are numerous. ... Barthel, Aveling, Fulop-Miller, Broderick etc. Von Pastor covers the revolt against the Constitutions of St Ignatius in one of his vols.

St Ignatius did not conceive his order in the traditional sense of being reclusive-- it was to work in this world at the service of Il Papa. As such he obtained dispensation from things such as choral obligation or long hours of prayer. This rousted indignation from some such as the legalist M Cano from the beginning. He( unlike Fr Feeney) WAS called to Rome and admonished.

The Company of Jesus earns the enmity of Prots by accusing A Weishaupt as one of them. This is not true as he was a layman-- marrano. This was discovered and his employment terminated.

Clement XIV regretted his suppression of the order and it should be noted that the family of Pombal returns to the Church when the results of his folly become apparent.

This is part and parcel of just about every anti-nwo blog/website/forum/group (comprised mostly of apostates, prots and atheists, but all Church haters) rantings, no exaggeration. They equate "Jesuit" with the pope and the anti-Christ (often one and the same). Rome is the Whore of Babylon. The term 'Jesuit' is synonymous with this. As keen as many of them are about political happenings, they are blind to broader truth.

As to the trad community and Jesuits, I usually hear the discussion referring to the critical role they played in the destruction of Catholic education and the loss of countless souls, especially in these post V2 days of modernist contamination. Considering the enormity of this and it's catastrophic ripple effects, it's logical to deduce infiltration and purposeful method to the madness. Ironically, this serves those who already hate His Church and paint the entirety with a broad brush of evil; that is, "Jesuits" are the Catholic Church and the Church is satanic. This theme crops up everywhere on the internet.

I look forward to others who can build on Roscoe's answer to Nadir's questions. Intriguing.

Alex Jones keeps repeating that the anti-pope Frank is a 'Jesuit". This in spite of the obvious ancestry of his chosen name. An email to showtips@infowars.com has failed to produce a correction so far....
