Title: "Christians" can be just as elitist as anyone
Post by: graceseeker on August 31, 2017, 12:53:22 PM
I feel very disturbed reading on this site people saying that some person or group is "chosen by God"

HUH?

Every human being God created is CHOSEN by God to belong to Him and to enter Heaven after death. If that person chooses to go his own way, that is not on God. But God does not choose some and reject others. He accepts anyone who "fears Him."

So I wish people would just knock it off with that "chosen" stuff.. The Jєωs were the chosen people of God but if He hadn't chosen them He would ha ve  chosen some other group because he had to manifest Himself through some people or other... so it is not to sya they were "better than" or anything.

Anyone who loves God is chosen... and contrary to that once saved always saved nonsense, you CAN lose your chosen-ness (so called)

equivocation advisory.

s.a., e.g. "elect" and "Many are called..."

Not trying to snob but if you're going "huh" to this, then you should probably study more before talking about that.

many are called could be interpreted as "all are called"

the ones who are chosen are the ones who are attracted to Jesus, who believe He is who He says He is and etc..........
