"The words were never validated either. The original statement was that blacks are genetically less intelligent."
A theory with which, apparently, Idang Alibi himself agrees:
"Let somebody please tell me whether it is a manifestation of intelligence if a people cannot organise a free, fair and credible election to choose who will lead them. Is it intelligence that we cannot provide simple pipe-borne water for the people?"
"Jim Watson himself, after realizing what he had just said."
Yes, but what we cannot know is whether or not he repudiated his statements because he was convinced that he was wrong, or if he did so because pressure was placed on him to do so.
"Essentially, Idang Alibi is courageously turning a negative into a positive."
Perhaps. Time will tell. There have been black/African/negro leaders in the past that have faced the issue forthrightly... and have been denounced because of their stance. I hope that Mr. Alibi has the courage of his convictions to truly do something positive for his people.
The best thing that could happen to them, is that they become Catholic because, by so doing, they would begin to discover the benefits of Catholic civilisation and culture. Sadly, I dont think the SSPX has much of a presence in sub-Saharan Africa.
"But he does not agree per say with Jim Watson in doing so."
I think he does, but perhaps not directly.
