I suppose this could go under the "Race and Racism" thread.
Naaah! It's worthy of
its own thread. I posted quite a bit of info, some of which debunked the abundant propaganda, back during the original events.
This photo
[*] of a smiling black yout' (apparently preteen or early teen), shamelessly still being used after 7¾ years to depict Trayvon Martin, continues to be evidence of an at least
tacit conspiracy that includes the
Martin "family", the
racial-grievance industry and the
mainstream news media, e.g.:
NBC News†. Only the "family" possessed early photos of Trayvon from which to pick & choose the one best suited for their propaganda campaign.
At the time of his death, Trayvon was a
high school upperclassman, plenty strong & fast after years of playing
high-school football; if not necessarily starting, then at least from participating in the practices and strength & conditioning training that's nowadays a requirement for playing. And if he wasn't actually living the
gangsta lifestyle, he cultivated the appearance, esp. with his
grille (i.e., laminating the visible exterior of all his teeth with
gold). How could a teen afford so much gold metal in his mouth? Well, he apparently had enough freedom, while he was bouncing around to serially temporary homes not just with his parents, but also with relatives who could put up with him for months at a time. While living at the home of an uncle and attending a local Miami high school, an inspection of his locker there was found to contain stolen items; they matched a recent burglary report from a near-campus home-owner to Miami P.D.!
This was revealed in a
Miami Herald feature expose about the genuine
conspiracy in the area's public school system to reduce "
minority crime" by
systematically refusing to report it to law-enforcement agencies
[#]. It was just an amazingly fortunate coïncidence that Trayvon was chosen by the
Herald reporter to personify the otherwise unrelated Miami local scandal being exposed in its pages. From the
Herald article, even readers completely uninterested in Trayvon until after his widely propagandized death can get an inkling of how disfunctional his "family" was. Think about it: Trayvon wasn't living with either parent, who were living separately, altho' in the same metro area as Trayvon was being bounced around. Yet the public is expected to believe that his death was a tear-jerking "family" tragedy? Let's
get real! Does the handsome and charming-looking boy like the one smiling in the long-propagandized photo
[*] look like the kind of youth that would be bounced around his "family", and have burglarized property in his school locker?

#: An article whose Web address I posted when it was discovered & publicized by some independent source shortly after the death of Trayvon, and of course, despite its compelling character-reference for Trayvon, the
mainstream news media ignored it. Wasn't it also revealed somewhere or other that such genuine
cօռspιʀαcιҽs were practices recommended--if not imposed--by the Justice Dept. of the
Obama Administration? It had the grossly unjust side effect that the victims of burglaries were denied legal means to recover their stolen property wherever it was being held by law-enforcement authorities, with whom I include "
school-resource officers" like the one who discovered the stolen property in Trayvon's locker.
