It is a shocking title but a necessary one.

The gulf oil is a disaster - there is no doubt. But it is an accidental one. I guarantee you that in six months it will be a long past memory and every member of this forums who is now running around like a headless chicken will avoid these threads.

Someone just posted a video thread of "doors opening" behind the official footage - clearly proof it is a hoax. It is not a hoax, the "doors" are an aberration of underwater filming. You make yourselves out to be idiots when you are sucked into these silly conspiracy theories.

Most alarming is the fact that Matthew is promoting this stupidity.

Wake up! This does nothing but distract you all from the true problem at hand - the destruction of the Church at the hand of modernist bishops and Popes.

The oil volcano is last year's swine flu. It is this years economic crisis which will eventually come to nothing as governments will print more money (causing prices to rise and huge inflation - but no war in the streets).

Frankly, the outpouring of comments and posts on these issues make it clear that people here WANT a disaster to happen - and I can understand that to a certain extent as it would finally prove us trads right - the end has come - but these are minor things and when the end really DOES come - you will know it - not through subtle and clever camera tricks. It will be obvious to all.

So - my advice is ignore the following - they are all bad but none are evidence of the end times:

Volcano in Iceland (oops - it didn't spell the end of the world as here predicted)
Global warming (oops - it didn't enable governments to enact emergency powers taking away property rights)
Oil Spill (okay - it isn't over yet but it will be soon and you will all have egg on your faces)
Swine flu (it is over - it wasn't the end times!)

Guys - you all distrust the media but you hate them so much that you are now so wound up in the new media (internet) that you will believe any silly conspiracy theory. It makes you look a fool (and consequently the rest of us trads).

This is the end times - I am certain of it - but the proof lies in the second vatican council - not modern technology or false-scientific errors.

Oh - and as much as I am opposed to socialism, communism, and liberalization, Obama is NOT a socialist.

Socialism is the second of three stages of communism - the first is revolution (well yes - you did that some time ago when you revolted against your King) - the second is the abolition of private property rights (this is socialism), and the third is when the socialist government steps down and you have a state which is governed by the people without any formal governmental organization (this is communism).

Has Obama taken away property rights from the entire country? Has he indicated an intent to do so?

You honestly know the answer is no.

He is a bad president because his government supports invalid laws (such as abortion rights and gαy marriage rights), but he is not a socialist until he passes a law that removes ALL private property rights from all citizens and claims them for the governing powers.

You are giving too rigid a definition. When the socialist parties in Europe are in power do they take away all private property rights? Obama was surrounded by radical leftists during his formative years. Whether someone is a "commie" or a "pinko" or not is not the real issue: whether they are a committed to the Revolution, to Antichrist, is the issue.

People are mad at BP because they should have planned for this contingency, and possibly they did not take adequate precautions.

Sure, people get carried away easily, and we should avoid that.

In fact the definition I am giving is the EXACT definition as given by Marx - socialism is not a fluffy idea with lots of meanings - it means a very specific thing - stage two of a government heading to communism. The Soviets, and North Korea were truly socialist in that private property did not (and does not in the case of North Korea) exist. The so-called socialist parties in Europe are not true socialists - they are extreme left-wing parties who at worst want to nationalize certain private corporations. That is not socialism. It is a sinful thing and goes against the nature of what good government is - but we shouldn't call it something it is not.

As for your link - that was very interesting but obvious means nothing - it is a short novel written 100 years ago by a man of dubious repute.

This Oil Volcano is MUCH, much worse than any Swine Flu scare we had. The volcano is real, and it's ongoing.

There is no sign that the ongoing oil eruption is even on the road to being stopped -- much the contrary. The effects of this ongoing catastrophe are only beginning to be felt.

BP hasn't a clue how to stop this. They've proven that again and again -- that is, if they've even made an honest attempt to stop it -- there are all kinds of conspiracy theories floating around, and for good reason -- nobody knows the truth about this thing. BP has hired private security to arrest people who try to check it out "on the ground" for themselves -- no wonder people have their imaginations in high gear trying to figure out this event.

The truth is best expressed by "We don't know what all is going to happen as a result of this" -- because it's unprecedented in scope. From the Corexit 9500 dispersant being used, to the sheer magnitude of the eruption, to the difficulty in "capping" the volcano, to the methane gas being released, to the dead zones being created -- all of these are serious issues.

Your attempts to downplay this disaster are ridiculous -- ludicrous -- comical -- insane -- the English language doesn't have a strong enough word.

I'm staking my reputation right here and now, THIS IS BIG. People will talk about life "Before the Oil Volcano, and after it". We'll see who's right. Go ahead and quote me.

The "doors opening" conspiracy is a red herring meant to distract people like Jamie, to convince people that the disaster isn't that bad after all. BP is probably smiling because their propaganda worked.

Just because one or two people have poor imaginations, or less than perfect detective skills, or jump too far in their conclusions -- doesn't lessen the facts about the severity of the catastrophe.

Shall we find one bad Catholic at the chapel Jamie attends and conclude that his Priest is a bad priest, or that the SSPX is a bad organization? It would be using the same "logic" that he displayed in his original post.

He watches one crappy video, got incensed, and made a broad (and wrong) conclusion, dismissing scores of credible, eyewitness evidence.

You may want to get out your Bible and read the Apocalypse. The Apocalypse states that in the end times 1 third of the ocean will look like blood. The gulf water actually does look like blood. Time will tell if this is what the Bible is talking about, but regardless this as Matthew said is a big deal. The swine flu was created in a lab and put out with the world leaders hoping it would be like the one almost 100 years ago. It was halted in the winter and, despite the government saying a third wave of the flu would occur, the outbreak stopped completely. This oil leak, however, was most likely started on purpose by our government (BP being involved as well) and isn't being stopped. Obama is sitting back and doing nothing. They could stop the oil leak if they really wanted to. It only proves the war in Iraq has become an outdated hoax, as our government just wants their oil. This leak shows we have more than enough oil.

Sorry, I'm afraid you are in-correct. Obama has every intent to bring this country to socialism. He gave this country a health care bill that most people did not want, a sign of socialism. He's also given part of Arizona to Mexicans, and doesn't even like our national anthem. He says he'd rather have the Coca Cola song as our national anthem. Obama was planted by the world leaders to bring this country to socialism and pave the way for the anti-Christ. It isn't his government either. He also supports gαy marriage. Didn't a law just pass where you can't speak out against gαy marriage anymore or something like that? Not to mention the micro-chips, which are the mark of the beast (you know who the beast is,too). These chips will controll us and once these chips become mandatory, you may as well go into hiding. Again, get out your Bible and read the Apocalypse.
