Yesterday, as I was watching a World War II history documentary (on the History Channel), I could not help but notice the evil music that was being played every time something German was on the screen--from women walking down the street, to children smiling at the camera.
A few things dawned on me, then.
- I have no doubt that the German people were deceived during the reign of the Nazi party. But I have reason to believe that we Americans, too, have been deceived when it comes to World War II, who was the good guys, and who was the bad guys. I feel that we've been manipulated horribly, and that we believe something very untrue. Yet, the history is so distorted, that I do not know what, exactly, was true of that time.
-This confusion about who we are, what we were, what they were--it is all diabolical. And this diabolical confusion, this muddling, is a direct result of our sins, both personally and collectively. God has decided to abandon us to such lies and confusion, in the same way He abandons us to bad leaders, bad clergy, and so on. The layman does this to himself, and only mass repentance can reverse this.
-Since the era--and the decades ever since--is so muddled, and since life is so short for us, I choose not to figure out "what's really happening." Lucifer has his grip on everything at this point. Our lives are like blades of grass, and we are mowed down so quickly. The thing to focus on anymore is prayer for our leaders, our priests, or bishops--the Church leadership--and we must ask God for forgiveness for our sins and ask that He impress upon the people we come across to repent and convert. That is all that is important anymore. Any other luxury is foregone at this point. The culture is devestated and necrotic. At any moment, terrible persecutions may start--and will be justified by the people who live around us. We have to ask God to forgive us, mortify ourselves, practice penance, and pray for others.
-If there is some .00001 % chance that our society spontaneously repents and turns toward the Church Jesus began, then we will see the justice we all so strongly desire. Until then, however, the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics will continue to wear away at the fabric of Western Civilization.
