  • that science dances to the tunes gov't, industry and special interests dictate?  That's right.  They may neither research or publish anything these thugs don't let them.  And if they do, they are cast out of the community, smeared---well, you know the drill.  Fact is, they have disproved a number of things the powers that be hold sacred, so a lot of what you think is true, isn't.  It's well worth the read.

  • That seems like a good site, Trinity. I don't know what they would think about the dating system of fossils though, for I saw something in there where it talked about how human remains were found to be dated about 250,000 years ago. Also, I don't know what they would really think of marcoevolution or geocentrism either. I saw something on the site about the "mask" on Mars being an artifical structure, which I am skeptical about because that hints to me that the makers of that site believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

  • Now I'm sorry I didn't read it in its entirety even though that was a very busy day.  I didn't catch that because I skipped about to the things I was interested in.  I posted it mainly because the author seemed to be in a sincerely complaining mode about the take over of science.  I doubt that he could have made up the way scientists are treated who don't "toe the party line".  Of course one could check other sources to see if they really were disenfranchised as he says they were.  Would you like me to do that?  As for the mask on Mars...  I don't believe in aliens either, so I don't know where they are coming from on that.  Seems to me that Shroud of Turin turned up a lot of funny business about their carbon dating, etc.  I'm so up on science that my daughters had to remind me that Pluto is no longer a planet.  I knew that...just permanently forgot it.

  • Well, the site might be motivated by truth, but perhaps since they don't hold as many pieces of the puzzle as we (Catholics) do, they might defend one or two "shunned" scientists too many.

At least they are trying to get the truth "out there" (pardon the pun -- get it? the X-files tagline "the truth is out there") which is commendable.

I am 100% certain that many good scientists (anti "Big Bang", etc.) are ostracized for not toeing the party line. That I've heard MANY MANY times before. It happens to teachers, too. Just look at the recent case of Dr. Finklestein.

That's ok, Trinity. You don't have to do that. :) I simply noticed a few things on that site that were questionable.

  • When I learned and told my daughters that FDR was among those who handed this country to the communists, one of my daughters asked her high school history teacher about it.  He said that's true, but if he taught that he wouldn't have a job.  So some of them know and hide the truth for the sake of their job, but I'm betting most of them don't even know.

My mother used to churn butter and salting the butter is a very labor intenseive job which she did with a wooden paddle.  She would work and work the salt in, until (hopefully) there were no more pockets of salt.  That's what the enemy is doing with the truth.  Just working the lies in until the truth becomes something else.  In this case, I agree with Chant.  The author probable didn't/couldn't vet everything.  I accept and pass over things because of ignorance in that field.  We are not in an enviable position to tease out the truth these days, which is why this forum is so helpful.  If one of us doesn't know something another one might.  God alone could weed out the lies these days.  We have as much chance of doing that as we would of picking all the salt out of that butter.  And only dedicated truth seekers even try.
