He'll get the point. There are others who got the same idea and wrote letters.

The Roman Catholic Church in America should have a new motto: No good works shall go unpunished! I’m writing in defense of Father Marcel Guarnizo, a priest at a church within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. Last month the man of God denied communion to a woman at her mother’s funeral Mass, which sounds just dreadful at first pass, however. Barbara Johnson approached the priest before the funeral and explained she was living in a sɛҳuąƖ relationship with another woman. The Roman Church defines such relationships as “intrinsically disordered” and while you may not agree you certainly aren’t forced to be a Catholic. Which Johnson isn’t, she instead identifies as a Buddhist.
Furious the priest wouldn’t bend to a cultural fad, Johnson took her case to the courts of liberal media, where Father Guarnizo was denounced as cruel, politically incorrect and out of step with the modern world. Sunday the priest was placed on leave by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, where it appears they expected a firestorm from the faithful. I first this morning telephoned the Baltimore Archdiocese by mistake and apparently wasn’t alone. A woman on the other end of the call quickly referred me to neighboring Washington. Next I reached out and touched the office of Donald Cardinal Wuerl and was quickly dumped into a voice mail bin where the dissenters’ views are being collected for the usual form letter response. Cardinal Wuerl’s office can also be reached by email: chancery@adw.org
