  • I am asking this question seriously in an attempt to discover the right path to take. I spent the day, off and on, researching the stonemason guilds, and it was pretty much what I thought it was. However the guilds in the middle ages were basically extensions of the Catholic Church. They had their patron saints, participated in religious activities, made sure no one worked on the Lord's day, and did all kinds of charity work. There were four kinds of guilds and the stone masons had a craft guild, until circuмstances and an influx of liberal thinkers turned it into a hotbed of cօռspιʀαcιҽs.

At the same time, Dawn brought up the situation in the NO church, which to most people IS the Catholic Church. It is the same situation all over again---a once honorable and Catholic institution is perverted by the same bunch for the same reason. And now I'm wondering what our position should be in regards to this. I instinctively withdraw from such things for fear of supporting evil in any way.

    What do you think???

  • You are correct. Liberalism is a mental disorder to quote Michael Savage. The donations in the three NO parishes around me are around $15,000. per week. Sometimes much more for Holy days or pledge drives. The NO parish I used to attend is currently raising $13,000,00 for a new office building. The will do this, no problem.

  • At my old NO parish we had this statue "Our Lady of the Millenium" come for a visit. She sat outside the Church, the statue was made by a gentleman and I can not remember why. Anyway. This statue is 30 ft tall, stainless steel. In just a few days they had collected over $30,000.00 in a coffee can that sat at the feet of the statue. A local "Catholic" bookstore donates 5% of all of their sales back to the local parish. This place is a big deal and advertises on Relevant Catholic Radio.
Do they ask ever, Gee Whiz Bishop Lavendar Lollipop, will we ever have The sex suits paid in full???

Thankfully I was spared this statue and many other things. I thought it was bad enough what I did encounter. One should be suspicious of great success in this world. That is not the way of Our Lord. And it's ONE of the reasons I was suspicious of JPII.

This is true. When secular organizations are begging for speakers from NO Church to attend their functions look out. I would be that Pius the X was never voted to anybody's top ten list of anything.
