From "Richard of Danbury" blog --
As stated in previous posts this
Panic of 2020 is a contrived event, that will have profound effects from here on out. While the
CoVid-19 may or may not be real, no one can deny that we are all affected in momentous ways. Even if these pretentious
Lockdowns are lifted there will be long lasting effects that will change the way we live… forever. This is described as the “New” Normal, although there is nothing
normal about it: financially, culturally, socially or politically. The fact remains that much like the aftermath of
9/11 notions abhorred prior to that were embraced by nearly everyone afterward for our
benefit and
security, such things like: heavily armed soldiers in our transportation hubs and on our streets; pat-downs and privacy invasive full body x-rays; extra-legal phone, email and Internet taps and the list goes on. Though much of these lasting changes to our way of life cannot be stated with any certainty, it is clear, based on what we are witnessing at the moment, they will carry on well into the future and may even be permanent.
Shortages will be a dominant reality for most if not all of us. Coupled with the
Panic of 2020 the world has faced an unprecedented confluence of events over the last three years and all have contributed mightily to these current shortages. Wet springs, droughts in various countries, African Swine Flu and other animal and plant diseases; locusts and other pests; not to mention the
Grand Solar Minimum we’re experiencing have played a major part in the shortages we see today.
Though the mainstream media presents the shortages as CoVid-19 related the reality is far more devastating. By associating the shortages with CoVid-19 the inference is that this will be short-lived until the workers return to the plants and factories reopen. This is merely conditioning of the consumers to get used to the new reality. The causal impacts outlined above have more to do with the shortages than the alleged disease. These impacts are far more long term than their conditioning would imply.
We’ve all seen the scarcities in our grocers: various meats; flour; eggs; yeast; dairy, paper goods and even seeds signals to those astute enough to have a pulse on world affairs this is clearly not temporary as business and political leaders would have us believe. More to the point this will be an ongoing fact of the New Normal.
Again, forewarned is forearmed: prepare! Prepare! Prepare! Anything you can do now will lessen the effects to our future wellbeing. Plant a garden, get laying hens for continued egg production, stock up on staples, learn canning and preserving to save the garden’s bounty. Remember the sage advice for times like
these, the best investment you can make is to have a full cupboard! Finally, remember the ejaculation:
Holy Mary, Mother of Our Savior, Multiplier of Wheat, keep us from want!
This prayer was responsible for saving millions under the original Soviets in the early part of the 20
th Century and will be an effective recourse in our parallel times.
