British agency ignores family’s wishes, places 5-year-old Christian in Muslim foster home

LONDON, August 28, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The Times of London reported that an English Christian child was forced into two Muslim foster homes against the wishes of her family.
The five-year-old girl has apparently spent the past six months in two separate strict Muslim households, thanks to the child protections services of the Tower Hamlets Borough Council.
According to confidential reports seen by The Times, the girl wept and begged not to be returned to a foster family because “they don’t speak English.” The child told a local government supervisor that her Christian cross necklace was taken away and she was not allowed her to eat her favorite meal, pasta carbonara, when it was given to her by her birth mother because it contained bacon. The girl was described as “very distressed.”
Nevertheless, the child absorbed some lessons from her new families. She had been encouraged to learn Arabic and told her birth mother that Christmas and Easter are “stupid.” She also told her mother that European women are “stupid and alcoholic.”
Tower Hamlets, in the East End of London, is an ethnic enclave in which, according to official data from 2011, fewer than one-third of the population is white British. Bangladeshis, at 32 percent, are Tower Hamlets’ largest ethnic group and comprise the largest population of Bangladeshis in Britain. Non-British white Europeans, including Irish and Poles, comprise 12 percent of Tower Hamlet’s population.
A friend of the child’s birth family told The Times, “This is a five-year-old white girl. She was born in this country, speaks English as her first language, loves football, holds a British passport and was christened in a church.”
“She’s already suffered the huge trauma of being forcibly separated from her family. She needs surroundings in which she’ll feel secure and loved. Instead, she’s trapped in a world where everything feels foreign and unfamiliar. That’s really scary for a young child.”
The Tower Hamlets Borough Council would not respond to requests for comment. However, insights may be gleaned from their website, which includes several pages about fostering. Foster parents are paid up to £474 ($612.59 US) a month per child fostered with two weeks paid holiday a year. The job advertisement reads, “We are looking for energetic families who are passionate about children and who want to offer stable, loving and supportive family homes to children who are unable to live with their birth family. Ideally, you will live within a 15-mile radius from Tower Hamlets (East London).”

Well "Rome" says we that they worship the same God "...along with us..." so, what's the problem? At least they aren't being looked after by Mr. and Mr. Brokeback.
