    • Even if +Vigano attempted an imperfect council, the result would another pope Michael situation.  It wouldn’t solve anything, but just add another layer of confusion.  As Lad pointed out, most Trads don’t agree on trusting +Vigano.

    The only trads I’m aware of who don’t trust Vigano are dogmatic sedes.  Most other sedes and all Resistance do trust him (as do many SSPXers and indulters).

    • The new-sspx leadership doesn't support +Vigano, so i suspect many new-sspx'ers wouldn't either, should +Vigano act towards some kind of council and against +Francis.

    I don't understand. I thought we've been hearing for years that the Church can only be restored by the hierarchy putting the Vatican 2 "popes" on trial for heresy and deposing them. Now you're saying that wouldn't work. So what do you think needs to be done to restore the Church?

    True, many R&R do suggest their conversion is another way, but many have suggested a council of some sort also.

    1.  One or two clerics (out of hundreds) isn’t going to solve anything nor have the legal status to depose or start a trial.  


    2.  The only remotely similar situation in history is Arianism.  And it seems most clerics converted back to orthodoxy.  

    3.  Our situation is truly unique because of the purposeful infiltration.  I truly believe only God's miraculous intervention will solve the problem.  Many prophecies describe such.

    • Whatever movement might start up to declare Jorge removed would labor to get anything that even remotely resembles a universal backing … due to fragmentation among Traditional Catholics.  SSPX are adamant that Jorge is pope and many SVs have problems with +Vigano due to his questionable episcopal orders.  I just think it would be a non-starter.
