  • Off topic. This is not about movement but about shape.

  • Gee, so if you have a subject that favors flat earth it is "off topic"?
Pay no attention, nothing to see here...

I thought the OP  said the topic was a that "Flat Earth Theory is likely a disinfo campaign".
I'm just giving some ideas to the contrary.....I'm allowed to stick my thoughts in anywhere- your choice to ignore them.

Your subject doesn't favor flat earth. You just act as if globe earthers were per se heliocentrists, which is not the case.

Well, shape is congruent to movement. A flat earth could not hurtle like a spinning globe, y'think? All connected

Yes- the subject absolutely does! The predictability of the stars is NOT possible in a spinning globe earth. Geo or heliocentric

But we're not discussing a spinning globe. We're discussing shape: flat disc, or globe.

  • Quo Vadis, that video was full of half-truths.  He kept saying we can't see the curvature because the earth is "so big" yet he ignores accepted scientific facts that the curve should be seen at 30+ miles easily (i.e. from the skyscraper in Houston).  He only showed the lack of curvature when at "sea level" because, obviously, the lower you are, the harder it is to see very far.  5 minutes in, this video was a joke.

Did you watch at the 12:30 mark dealing with Toronto?

  • The map doesn't show all of the supposed continents -- that is the point.  Antarctica is missing.

Well very few people “live” on Antarctica, and there are no permanent residents that I’m aware of, so I wouldn’t consider that land mass a necessity for them to feel they have control of.

BTW: I know a fellow who has lived for months at a time on Antarctica for something like 30 years. He was in the military. Are there any questions you or anyone else want me to ask him the next time I see him?

  • There are bases on the perimeter of Antartica- I'm sure people live there on and off for years-especially military. If you are a "tourist" you are only allowed at specific areas, monitored at every step, and not allowed to travel inland at all. They have a few coastal destinations that are reserved for the common folk.

That's incorrect. Whatever your problem is, Geocentrism works. Relativistic Geocentrism, at that! :laugh1:
