  •   Normally, a jubilee is the fiftieth year party, which commemorates the 50th year, and this current so-called Jubilee Year of Mercy is supposed to be for the ending of Vatican II.  But that should have started a year ago, in 2014 and ending in 2015.  What explains this current practice of effectively celebrating the 51st year instead of the 50th?
