    I had no idea that Saint Andrew was a Scottish Mason. Boy, do I feel like a dunce!

    I wonder whether his brother Peter was a Mason, too. After all "Peter" rhymes with "meter," and the meter, along with the rest of the metric system, was the concoction of the French revolutionary Masons during the so-called Directory period.

    If this isn't proof positive, I don't know what is.

    Or should we wait for the Subway chain to start offering meter-long sandwiches?
