In case you haven't heard, Kubrick's daughter is denying that her father participated in the alleged moon hoax.... :fryingpan:

Here's a synopsis of the more popular claims:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_landing_conspiracy_theories#The_hoax_claims

Thanks, that gives me a general idea ... but what is the perspective of Catholics on all this? And from a Catholic perspective what are the reasons for believing its a hoax. There will no doubt be some overlap, but I'd expect there to be additional insight from those with faith.

There really isn't anything particularly Catholic about one perspective or the other. It's not a matter of faith or morals.

Some people are just convinced that NASA is a huge fraud. They differ somewhat on said's fraud reason for existing, but the common theme is that they don't believe NASA has done half the things it says it has, chief among them the moon landing. Personally I don't think the cօռspιʀαcιҽs stand up to investigation, but feel free to dig around and make your own decisions on that point.

  • The conclusion reached is unambiguous. NASA's photo is a fake.
This picture cannot have been taken on the Moon but in a studio with
a very strong additional source of illumination from near the camera.
