Acts 13, verse 50:
"But the Jєωs stirred up religious and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts."
Some things never change!
Note two groups the Jєωs use as golems to do their will. Religious and honorable women -- they think they're doing good. The Jєωs convince them that they are on the side of righteousness, even as they help them to destroy the world. Most women are by nature religious. But they are also followers and the Jєωs are skillful at playing most people like a fiddle.
And CHIEF MEN OF THE CITY -- that is, men who are invested in positions of power and wealth. If they didn't care so much about their power and wealth, the Jєωs wouldn't have such levers of control over them.
Later on, the Jєωs rabble rouse a bunch of blue-collar workers -- they are easily manipulated too, by pushing different buttons. The Jєωs are the ultimate people-person; they are skillful button-pushers and experts at human nature. Hence their skill at acting and comedy.
