I used to always believe that ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry/Eastern Gnosticism made its way into Christendom via the Templars while in the east. I recently read a book titled History of the Knights Templar,Barbara Frale who says that her discovery of the Parchment of Chinon records the Churches absolution of the Jaques de Molay etc which led her to write the book.
I then changed my stance on the templars, thinking that they were the target of a grand conspiracy, but then in her book's final page she had a list of recommended readings with titles saying that Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ doesn't exist and that it is a myth etc. This really damaged my opinion of her 'reliability'.
It said that the rumours of blasphemy, apostacy, satanic rituals and desecration were either just simply rumours by King Phillip IV of France to destroy the order out of greed etc or merely hazing techniques to test the novices spirit in the face of death by the Saracens (by taunting them to spit on crucifixes etc)
By the church absolving Jaques de Molay, did that therefore absolve the whole order, that the accusations were false, or did that only apply to Jaques de Molay?
Thank you!
