  • You know considering Obama is going against his power and we have no evidence of Assad using chemical weapons, you would think those in our "brave" conservative movement would denounce Obama and stand against a war in Syria. But nope amongst Republicans (besides Rand Paul) you have them all braying for a war with Syria, and amongst the conservative talk-show hosts it is even louder.

Of course these cowards who are cheering for war will not fight this new war and neither will their sons so it is not surprising that they can stampede for war. This reminds me quite well of how useless the conservative movement is and how it is a complete and utter failure on many fronts, whether it comes to foreign policy, trade, immigration, etc.

The Republican Party has never asked itself what lead to its loss back in 2008 and that was the same neoconservative policies that George W. Bush was doing at the time. Well the party has never learned and is still continuing those same neoconservative policies. Let's face it the GOP is (thankfully) headed for the boneyard.

  • I think a lot of people are beginning to realize what the so-called "conservatives" really are, that voting for them is an exercise in futility. They're the one step back in the socialist game of two steps forward & one step back. As for the war, I guess their votes are a good indication that they've got their thirty pieces of silver.

  • I've given up even voting except for locals who hardly identify with either "party". (Well, I wrote in "Putin" in the last Presidential election, and dead "Saddam" in the one before that). American "government" is such a facade, at least since I've been self-aware (late Reagan through esp. Clinton+). I'm not sure if there's some horrid secret that self-respecting politicians don't learn until they get elected and get some power, or if all politicians are basically actors paid by the Saudis, or what, but absolutely nothing makes sense politically in America.

I've lurked on both "active liberal people" and "active conservative people" sites for years to see how they explain their own candidates' weirdo decisions, like the attack on Iraq in '03, and this war with Syria. The people "in the trenches" can't explain their own candidates any more than we can. Sure, they'll come out punching and defend their candidates after finding some ridiculous common ground, but what a pathetic lot. Seriously pathetic. They've all got to give up strongly-held beliefs to be part of the "political landscape". The active liberals seem to just want all religion exterminated to get their 'utopia' (but they hate each other religiously); while the active conservatives boil it all down to a mysterious love of Israel (guess they're wannabe Jєωs?). I seriously feel sorry for my son who's learning "American Government" this year :laugh1: because I can't explain it except in an historical sense. I'd rather talk about "The Godfather" film for a full year — it's more realistic and pertinent to our lives. (We're serfs in a corrupt system!)

Chambers was one of the darlings of the early Conservative movement. Nixon said he was one of only 2 non-Jєωs ever caught in his anti-Communism net.

Though I've seen some call him a Jєω.

  • Dissenting protestants (like Quakers) tend to have a very bad influence.

  • I'm really surprised that Catholics even vote unless there happens to be a real Catholic candidate.  Which I've never seen one in my district.

  • I just heard one of the conservative talk show people, Schmidt (never heard of him before), talking about the Putin piece in the New York Times, and had to laugh as this guy was yelling at the top of his lungs how Putin was a KGB thug, since this guy never served in combat in his life. I have no doubt that Putin is a greater statesman than these loudmouth conservative talk-show types on the radio. In fact I read the piece and Putin has a greater understanding of the situation than Obama. People are damn tired of all of this conservative talk about 'American exceptionalism' as if America is the best thing on God's green earth.

Yep him, major American Jєωιѕн groups, and AIPAC have already began buying off politicians from both sides of the aisle to support this Syran mess.

  • Yep, allegedly Lenin said the best way to control the opposition is to lead it.

this piece by E. Michael Jones was posted here at CI and at The Eye-Witness blog recently, he really captures the perfidy of the neocons.

    Quote

    The Neocon Song

    Copyright 2003 E. Michael Jones

Oh, my name is Irving Kristol
And my son his name is Bill
In my youth I followed Trotsky
But in truth I follow him still

But to say you are a Bolshevik
Would fill the world with dread
So please don't call me a commie
    Call me a neocon instead

    Yes, we are the neoconservatives
We rule the world says I
And that dumb goy we call Georgie Boy
    Doesn't understand how or why

Oh we beat the wogs in Afghanistan
    The fun has just begun
Comrade Trotsky would be proud to be
    Known as a neocon

    To Keep the goyim pacified
    While watching their TV
We let them watch dumb Irishmen
    Like Comes and Hannity

    Bill O'Reilly and Chris Matthews
They will lick our boots and sigh
But to run the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr
    No dumb Irish need apply

    David Frum can excommunicate
    Paleocons from National Review
    For to be a neoconservative
Is to be one of a chosen few

    Oh, we're marching into Syria
    The fun has just begun
Comrade Trotsky would be proud to be
    Known as a neocon

    Comrade Trotsky and Podhoretz
    Both believe in perpetual war,
And ever since Norman won World War III
He's calling this World War IV

    David Brooks and Comrade Trotsky
Both believe in one world class
And if you don't want to be bourgeoisie
You can kiss David's middle-class ass

    Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson
    Support us on TV
    While waiting to be raptured
    Into pre-eternity

    Oh, we're marching into Syria
    The fun has just begun
Comrade Trotsky would be proud to be
    Known as a neocon

    Hammurabi's tablets got busted
    During the looting in Iraq
    But we're marching into Syria
    Behind George Bush's back

They've got weapons of mass destruction
They got 'em from Saddam Hussein
they've to weapons of mass destruction
Let's all say it once again

They've got weapons of mass destruction
    Oh, believe me, please believe
If you want to know just where they are
    They're hidden in Tel Aviv

    Oh, we're marching into Syria
    The fun has just begun
Comrade Trotsky would be proud to be
    Known as a neocon.
