I'm also including an accurate portrayal of the mask you would NEED to be safe from viruses.

Oh, and for those chanting "it's to protect others, not yourself" I should point out that HEALTHY PEOPLE DON'T SHED OR SPREAD VIRUS.

It has come out that "asymptomatic spread" is NOT a thing, despite popular urban legend. It defies common sense! How can you spread virus if you A) aren't sick or B) have the virus but never cough? It's not like that mask is going to filter your mouth vapor! It only CATCHES SPITTLE, as in when you sneeze or cough. That's the ONLY time it helps. And those who are coughing-sick need to STAY HOME, not mess around with masks.

P.S. Other sane voices have pointed out that wearing these ridiculous masks PREVENT BREATHING ENOUGH OXYGEN -- they cause some of the carbon dioxide you exhale to be re-inhaled into your lungs. That is not healthy.

Besides not wanting to be a dumb sheep, and the fact that this type of mask doesn't work, and it's not that dangerous of a virus, that's the other main reason I don't wear a mask anywhere.
